Three Finalists Emerge in Stratton Principal Search

The district released the finalists' names and short bios Wednesday.

Three finalists remain in the search for the new principal, according to a press release from the on Wednesday.

The three, a principal and two assistant principals, all from outside the district, are in the process of meeting with district administrators and Stratton faculty and parents, according to the release.

Maureen Devlin

Devlin is currently the associate head of school at the Rio Grande School in Santa Fe, N.M.

She previously served as an assistant principal at the Sippican School in Marion and as a vice principal, curriculum coordinator and classroom teacher in the Brookline Public Schools.

Devlin received a bachelor’s in history from Pomona College, a master’s in education from Lesley College and a master’s of education in organizational development from the Endicott College Leadership Licensure Program.

She visited Stratton on Monday, April 2, and had the opportunity to see classrooms and meet district administrators, the faculty and parents.

Bridget Harris

Harris has been a principal, assistant principal, curriculum supervisor and classroom teacher in the West Irondequoit Central School District in Rochester, N.Y.

She received a bachelor’s in elementary education from St. Bonaventure University and a master’s in education from Canisius College.

Harris is scheduled to visit Stratton on Monday, April 9, and have the opportunity to see classrooms and meet with district administrators, the faculty and parents.

Shamus Brady

Brady is currently the interim assistant principal for the Clark Avenue Middle School in Chelsea.

He previously served as a seventh and eighth grade level principal for the Innovation Academy Charter School in Tyngsboro and as the assistant principal for the Cora Kelly STEM Elementary School in Alexandria, Va.

Brady also previously taught special education and reading at the Thurgood Marshall Academy Public Charter High School and Dunbar High School in Washington D.C.

He is a graduate of the Arlington Public Schools and received a bachelor’s in English and political science from Williams College, a master’s in teaching from Trinity University in Washington D.C. and a master’s in education leadership from Columbia University Teachers College.

Brady visited Stratton on Tuesday, April 3, where he had the opportunity to see classrooms and meet with district administrators and the faculty. He is scheduled to return to Stratton on Monday, April 9, to meet with parents.
