WHAT:
The event, hosted in partnership with St. Athanasius The Great Greek Orthodox Church is part of National Faith & Blue Weekend, an initiative which aims to facilitate safer and stronger communities by engaging law enforcement officers and local residents through the connections of houses of worship.

Children will be provided a mini pumpkin as well as googly eyes and paint to decorate their pumpkin. Arlington Police cruisers and the newly wrapped-in-pink police cruiser will also be present for a touch-a-truck opportunity.

"We are grateful to the St. Athanasius the Great Greek Orthodox Church for partnering with us for this event," Chief Flaherty said. "Arlington is fortunate to have a strong and diverse faith community, and we look forward to participating in the Faith & Blue Weekend this year. Events like this help foster connections between our officers and residents, and the positive relationships that are created can go a long way in enhancing the safety and wellbeing of our community."
This event is free to attend, however registration is required to ensure enough pumpkins and decorating supplies are available. Click here to register.
