Arlington Reservoir Update Oct. 29
Substantial progress has been made on this project. The parking lot has recently been paved, however, the lot will not be open until the spring. The area is still an active construction area and we ask residents to observe signage and not cut through the site until we can can open up a path. The Park and Recreation Commission has asked the contractor to look at that possibility and will post an update if one can be created.

Arlington Reservoir Update August 12
The Phase II Arlington Reservoir Renovation project is well underway. As the 2021 beach season comes to an end on Friday, August 20th, we wanted to update everyone on some key project elements that will affect general reservoir use.

-  The parking lot to the reservoir will be closed starting Monday, August 23rd so that the work to the parking lot can begin. The parking lot will remain closed through early October. This will include installation of the new boat ramp. Please note that parking is available at Hurd Field off Drake Road with access through the playing field to the reservoir.

-  There will be no access to the beach area starting Monday, August 23rd so that the beach area improvement project can get underway including the site preparation and construction of the new playground.

- Portions of the perimeter path will remain open as much as possible throughout the fall season and it is estimated that the perimeter path will be completely renovated by the end of September.
- Installation of the new fishing and viewing piers will be determined by the water level at the reservoir but will be completed sometime this fall.

- Plantings, signage, and other path accessories will be installed as the project continues and weather allows.
 
- The project will continue through the fall with final touches being completed in the early spring.
 
- The entire project has a substantial completion date of December 1, 2021 and full completion by May 31, 2022.

Arlington Reservoir Phase II Renovation Project
The Arlington Park and Recreation Commission is excited to announce that phase II of the Reservoir renovation project is underway. The project will be broken up into multiple steps, with step one being the bathhouse renovation. The bathhouse renovation is taking place prior to the 2021 beach season and the contract has already been awarded and work will begin immediately. During this phase a portion of the beach will be closed off, but access to the beach will be available for residents. Step two of the project will take place during the beach season and will include work on the perimeter path and bank stabilization. Step three of the project will take place after the beach season and will include the parking lot/boat ramp, beach area upgrades, playground renovation, and picnic pavilion. The project completion date is estimated to be May of 2022. Steps two and three of the project are currently out to bid with the bids due on March 10th. Updates on the project will be posted on this page.
