Town Hires New Economic Development Coordinator
A familiar face has been hired to fill the year-old position.

Today is Wednesday, April 3. Here are five things you need to know.
1.) The town has hired Ted Fields, a member of the Arlington Redevelopment Board, as its new economic development coordinator, Town Manager Adam Chapdelaine announced at Monday’s Board of Selectmen’s meeting.
The town’s first ever economic development coordinator, Alan Manoian, resigned in January due to family reasons after about seven months on the job.

Fields has more than 15 years experience working in economic and community development in Newton, Waltham and, most recently, Framingham, Chapdelaine said. “He rose to the top of a really strong set of applicants,” he said.
Fields had yet to start in the position as of Monday.
