Town Seeking Donations for Patriot Day Parade

The parade scheduled for April 17 has a $20,000 fundraising goal.

The Patriot Day parade is back after a one year break and the organizers are seeking donations to fund the day-long salute to the stars and stripes.

Scheduled for April 17, parade organizers have set a fundraising goal at $20,000.

“Our goal is to ensure this historic event remains a mainstay in Arlington,” states Christine Bongiorno, Director of Health and Human Services and Patriots Day Parade Committee member. “We are excited that Arlington will once again celebrate its role in America’s battle for Independence.”

Both Arlington residents and businesses will have a chance to sponsor the parade, which will be featured on the National Park Service’s elebration of its 100th anniversary. Interested donors can also create a float or march in the parade

As of Wednesday, $1,500 has already been donated.
