Trader Joe's Recall Breakfast Sausage
If you visited a Trader Joe's recently and bought the chicken breakfast Sausage, be careful.

ARLINGTON, MA — If you've shopped at a Trader Joe's recently and bought their store brand chicken breakfast sausage that food item has been recalled.
In fact, the company that is responsible for branding the sausage products, DiLuigi Foods Inc, based in Danvers, is recalling approximately 3,448 pounds of chicken breakfast sausage products on account of not failing to put an ingredient that's considered an allergen on the label, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service and Trader Joe's announced Friday.
The product contains soy lecithin, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
The chicken breakfast sausage items were produced and packaged from Aug. 10, 2017 to Aug. 24, 2017. The following products are subject to recall:

- 1-lb. vacuum-sealed packages containing 5 pieces of “TRADER JOE’S CHICKEN BREAKFAST SAUSAGE.”

The products subject to recall have the number “P-4398” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to Trader Joe’s retail locations across Massachusetts. The patties were sold in CT, D.C., DE, ME, MD, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, No.VA & VT stores, according to Trader Joe's.
The problem was discovered during routine label verification.
