Week in Review: Halted tree trimming and Discussions about the Brigham Building

July 26 - Aug. 1: A busy, but quiet week.

It was a quiet, but efficient week in Arlington.

The NStar tree trimming that has plagued the town stopped after Town Manager Brian Sullivan wrote a letter to the company ordering them to cease.

The Arlington Redevelopment Board started the long process of deciding what happens to the former Brigham building at their meeting Monday night while the same night, parents and neighbors gathered at the Stratton School to discuss the new traffic options with Selectman Annie LaCourt and others.

The new interim principal at the Bishop School held his first meet and greet with the parents at the school Thursday night and introduced himself in time for the 2010 - 2011 school year, which is only about a month away.

In sports, the Senior Ruth All-Stars won their regional tourment to become New England champs, even with a short-handed team.
