The state recorded 1,410 new business filings in May, and this snapshot highlights just a portion of the region's latest startups and nonprofits. 
• WalletHub says this Wellesley community college is tops in the state (milforddailynews.com) — Ashland residents considering community college should know MassBay, which has a campus in town, was just ranked the top community college in Massachusetts by WalletHub. The school placed 15th nationally for career outcomes, offers more than 70 programs, and runs classes in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, Ashland, and online.
