Long-Time Attleboro Resident, John Foley Dies at 74

John  J.   Foley Jr., 74  of North Avenue Attleboro, died Friday at  Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

He was the husband of Jean (Ducharme) Foley, they were married for more than 51 years.

Mr. Foley was born in  Lowell, MA, a son of Jeannette (Santerre) Foley of Dracut, MA and the late  John J. Foley Sr.

He was a foreman for the Briggs – Henderson Painting Construction Company for more than 20 years before retiring in 1995.

John has lived in Attleboro for more than 50 years coming from  Lowell, he was a parishioner of St. Mark Church, North Attleboro.

Besides his wife and mother he is survived by two sons  Robert Foley of Attleboro, John J. Foley III of Attleboro, two daughters Rita Pietrolla of Westerly, RI and Michelle Foley of Orange, NH.

He was the grandfather of eight, also  survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Foley was the brother of the late Robert Foley.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Foley - Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro. Followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours: Wednesday from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., and 6p.m.-8 p.m.
