Attleboro Engineering Company Acquires Boston Business

Precision Engineered Products in Attleboro has acquired Boston End-Surgical Technologies of Boston.

Attleboro-based Precision Engineered Products (PEP) has announced the acquisition of Boston Endo-Surgical Technologies, a manufacturer of spinal and orthopedic surgical instruments.

PEP manufactures surgical equipment including stapling devices, endoscopic and laparoscopic devices and other medical components. The acquisition is expected to provide PEP with a position in the spinal surgery arena, according to a company release on Tuesday.

“The addition of the Boston Endo-Surgical Technologies products and brand continues our strategy of expanding our offering of highest technology medical devices that extend people’s lifespan and improve outcomes of surgical procedures," PEP Chief Executive Alan Huffenus, said. “Helping people live longer with a better quality of life while building a successful enterprise is very rewarding for our entire Precision Engineered Products team.”

Boston Endo-Surgical will be integrated into the company's Lacey business unit, based in Connecticut. PEP is a portfolio company of Nautic Partners of Providence and operates two subsidiaries in East Providence, including Matrix and its micro-molding division, microPEP.
