Attleboro Fire Department Hosts Fire Safety Open House

Kids can learn to "stop, drop and roll" with some free pizza on the side at the Attleboro Fire Department open house next week.

Families can learn expert safety tips on fire safety and prevention at the Attleboro Fire Department open house next Saturday.

“This event allows us to reach out to the community and arm local families with fire safety tips and procedures,” said Lieutenant Paul Jacques in a press release.

Kids will learn how to “stop, drop and roll,” how to plan escape routes and how to crawl through smoke.

The event is free and sponsored by Papa Gino’s in commemoration of the 2014 National Fire Safety Initiative. Papa Ginos will provide free pizza and children’s fire safety coloring sheets.

The open house will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m. at the South Attleboro Fire Station, 1476 West St.

“Our open house allows families to get together and better prepares them to react if a fire does occur,” Jacques said.
