Attleboro Fire That Injured 2 Firefighters Ruled Accidental

Monday night's fire in Attleboro that sent two firefighters to the hospital, and displaced seven residents, has been ruled accidental.

ATTLEBORO, MA — A fast-moving Attleboro that injured two firefighters and displaced seven residents Monday night has been ruled accidental. Attleboro Fire Chief Scott Lachance said the Attleboro Fire Investigation Unit made the determination about the three-alarm fire that destroyed a Virginia Meadows Drive home.

Lachance said the house was a total loss.

Attleboro fire responded to the home about 11 Monday night and found heavy flames exiting all windows. Lachance said crews began an aggressive attack and were able to get the fire under control by around midnight.

Lachance said the two firefighters were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and were expected to fully recover.
