Craig Mallet would seal the game, when with only about 20 seconds left in the game, he intercepted the ball in Mansfield's endzone and ran the 100 plus yards to score a touchdown.

"Defense played unbelievabley," Redding said. "We shut them out, and gave them the touchdown on offense. I thought this could be a shootout, and to really hold them scoreless is unbelievable."

Mansfield's quarterback George Buscharis relied on Blane Taylor and Greg Donahue for most of the game, preferring running plays to passes.

"We didn't want to throw the ball downfield and risk interceptions," Redding said.  "We just said we're going to run it, try to get points."

Mansfield also took two chances on two fourth downs, going for the play instead of the punt. The first time, it resulted in the fumble that would give Attleboro their touchdown, but the second gave Blayne Taylor the chance to run it in to the 19 yardline. Greg Donahue ran in the touchdown after that to give Mansfield the lead 13-7.
