The Bristol County DA's Office said Albert Tremblay, 56, was sentenced to 15 to 20 years after being convicted of child rape and assault.
ATTLEBORO, MA — An Attleboro man convicted last week of three counts of child rape and three counts of indecent assault and battery of a person under 14 years old was sentenced to up to 20 years in prison on Tuesday. Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn said the crimes were committed during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The Fall River Superior Court jury took five hours of deliberation to bring back a guilty verdict on Albert Tremblay, 56. He was sentenced to 15-20 years in prison, with an additional five years of probation.
Quinn commended the victim for coming forward and reporting "the repeated sexual assaults (that) caused serious trauma to the victim, who should have been enjoying her childhood."
