Attleboro Police Sweep Nets Five Arrests

The Attleboro Police Department was on a mission to apprehend several people with warrants on Friday and succeeded.

The Detective Division along with the Massachsuetts State Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit were on a mission to locate and arrest more than a dozen Attleboro residents with warrants for their arrest. 

Police conducted a sweep of the city beginning at 6 a.m. Police and detectives combed the city's neighborhoods for a total of four hours in search of 16 individuals in order to serve them the warrants. 

A total of five people were caught by police and served with warrants for charges of larcency, shoplifting, assault and battery and operating an uninsured car.

Police arrested Gabriele Anne Sceviour, 30, on a default warrant for larceny over $250; Andrew Westgate, 34, and Jacqueline Margarate Lincoln, 49, on warrants for operating an uninsured motor vehicle or trailer; Robyn Fonseca, 27, for a warraant on shoplifting and larceny under $250; and Jaclyn Marie Doucimo, 19, on an assault and battery warrant.

A sixth person was expected to turn herself into police after they had attempted to serve her with the warrant at her home, according to Det. Sgt. Art Brillion.

"Warrant sweeps such as the one done this morning are done periodically," Brillon said. "We attempt service of warrants regularly as part of our daily duties, however a larger sweep such as today’s is done a couple of times a year."

Five people were arrested and brought to the Attleboro Police Station, booked and then brought to Attleboro District Court.
