Students at St. John the Evangelist shot baskets to collect canned goods.

Students at in Attleboro participated in a Turkey Shoot during gym class recently in an effort to fill Thanksgiving Day baskets for St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Students donated either two canned goods or $1 for a chance at 10 foul shots. One student from each grade was honored with the title, "Turkey Shoot Champion."
"The Turkey Shoot is a great way to tie a St. John's longtime tradition of basketball to the community," SJE Physical Education teacher Julie Bradley said in a release. "It's a fun program for the whole school to help the less fortunate at a time when people really need it. The students get really excited!"
