The Frist Tee of Massachusetts is a central influence in Chatfield’s life. Their ‘Nine Core Values’ – Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, Respect, Confidence, Sportsmanship, Integrity, Honesty and Judgment are esteemed values Chatfield carries with him. They are the cornerstones of his integrity. “These values are all things that I have learned on the golf course and continue to live out off of the course, at home and in my school life.”
Mindset and focus are key attributes needed in the game of golf. “Not only do you need to have the physical ability to play it, but you also need to have the right mental view of the game as well,“ said Chatfield. “If you have a bad shot, you cannot just sit there thinking about it and dwell on it. You need the concentration and patience to move on and think about the next shot.”
