Attleboro Whiz Kid: Jacob Clark Knows His Geography
Winner of the Massachusetts/Rhode Island Region Geography Bee of the Association of Christian Schools International
Attleboro’s Whiz kid of the week is Jacob Clark. Jacob is a seventh-grade student at . He exhibits stellar success inside and outside the classroom. Jacob’s school administrator Frank Rydwansky shares, “Jacob continues to demonstrate the qualities that make Dayspring Christian Academy a special place. He is an excellent student with great potential and he always represents our school well.”
Academically, Jacob is a highly ranked student having been inducted into the National Junior Honor Society during his sixth-grade year. His talents were recently displayed in DCA’s annual Geography Bee competition where Jacob placed first amongst the sixth-,seventh-and eighth-grade students. Geography is Jacob’s favorite subject. He enjoys looking at books and looking at maps of the world. Following the school competition, Jacob advanced to the Massachusetts/Rhode Island Region Geography Bee of the Association of Christian Schools International and achieved an outstanding first place spot there. Dayspring students made an overall impressive representation of their school at the regional level where Dayspring students claimed the top five and the number nine overall finishes in that competition.
Outside of academics, Jacob plays basketball for the school’s boys’ basketball team, which is entered in the Jr. High Division of the Attleboro Youth Basketball Association. In addition to basketball, Jacob has played for many years in Attleboro’s Youth Baseball program. He has also played AAU Baseball with the Attleboro Badgers and will be playing this year for the Massachusetts Maulers.
