Attleboro Whiz Kid: Melanie Preve

Attleboro teenager, Melanie Preve creates made-to-order, sweet and spectacular sugar cookies out of her home.

Sugar and spice and everything is nice for one young Attleboro entrepreneur.

Stemming from a family tradition of decorating sugar cookies with her sister, Melanie is testing the entrepreneurial waters of baking cookies to order. Melanie bakes, intricately decorates and sells sugar cookies right out of her Attleboro home. Endless and vibrant creativity is the skill-set of her work and her key to success. 

Friends, family and teammates all benefit from Melanie’s ingenuity and made-from-scratch love. With each cookie design, she pours in part of herself to create a spectacular confection that will be a beauty to look at and to eat. Designing and decorating her savory treats is the most satisfying part of what Melanie does. With care, she enjoys taking others ideas and personalizing them into a cookie for any occasion. Inside of a notebook, she keeps sketches of designs she hopes to showcase in the future.

Melanie is also an academic scholar at Moses Brown School. For the past two summers she has traveled to China and Europe representing our country as a People to People Student Ambassador. This summer, she will work with the program again and travel to Great Britain and Ireland. She also participates in track, swim and Irish dance along with coaching gymnastics at the
