Beisel Wins Silver Medal

Elizabeth Beisel is coming home from London with some new jewelry. The Attleboro Bluefish Swim Club alumna and North Kingstown resident won the silver medal in the women's 400-meter individual medley on Saturday at the Aquatic Center in the 2012 London Olympics.

, but came up short to China's Ye Shiwen who set a world record in the event. Beisel finished with a time of 4 minutes, 31.27 seconds, roughly three seconds behind Ye Shiwen.

Beisel has another chance at the gold with her second event, the 200-meter backstroke, scheduled to begin on Thursday.
