Bishop Feehan High School Uses Summer Break to Prepare for 50th Anniversary

Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro is spiffing up for its big celebration.

 is taking advantage of the summer break to accomplish a few campus improvement projects in time for the start of its 50th anniversary this fall.  

The school is making things a bit spiffier at the Attleboro school by replacing the 560 original lockers installed in 1961 when the school first opened.  

Students will have lockers that are 3 inches deeper and have additional shelving.

Feehan's auditorium is also getting a bit of a facelift. Workers are installing the air conditioning in the auditorium and replacing the original 1,200 seats.  

Also on the upgrade agenda are traffic flow and safety. There will be several new granite curbs and additional parking spaces.

"Our 50th anniversary affords us an opportunity to celebrate and say thank you to the thousands of graduates, families and friends of our school," Feehan President Chris Servant said. 

"These much needed improvements reflect the sacrifices that our graduates and present parents have made," he added. "It is their way of paying it forward and providing advantages for those who will attend Bishop Feehan in the next 50 years."
