Attleboro dominates Stoughton on the ice
Attleboro High hockey earned a 4-1 victory over Stoughton High at Aleixo Arena on Wednesday night.
The combination of forwards Zach Dragun and Ryan Holske scored all four goals as the Attleboro High Bombardiers hockey team skated to a 4-1 victory in their Hockomock League encounter with Stoughton at Aleixo Arena Wednesday night.
The Bombardiers dominated the opening minutes when Dragun scored off a feed from Holske, slipping it past Black Knight goalie Paul Sheehan. Four minutes later, it was Holske who found the back of the net after Sheehan stuffed him on the line twice, Dragun and Jake Reynolds getting assists.
Attleboro coach Mike Cripps was happy to see his first line starting to gel. "They're finally clicking. They're starting to pass the puck more and shoot more, which we've asked them to do."

Josh Rubenstein made it 2-1 only 30 seconds after Holske scored, but with 1:28 left in the second period Dragun stepped up again and forced the puck over the line after another Sheehan double-save. Just under 30 seconds into the third period, Holske scored on a one-timer off a great feed from Dragun to effectively end the game.
Cripps was not only pleased with his star duo but his whole offense that created nearly 40 shots on goal. "That was our big focus that we haven't been getting enough shots, we keep trying to make the last move. That was the main part of my speech before the game, I don't care where you are in the offensive zone shoot the puck."

Stoughton coach Dan Mack was just looking for some luck to get his struggling offense in gear, especially considering the way his sophomore goalie kept the team in the game. "That's what happens when a team is struggling they just can't catch a break, but overall I thought we played well. He (Sheehan) was outstanding."
The Bombardiers (2-5-2) will try to keep the momentum of a two-game unbeaten streak going when they host the Oliver Ames Tigers on Saturday at Aleixo Arena. Meanwhile, Stoughton (1-10) also plays Saturday against King Philip at Asiaf Arena.
