Shawn Lewicki, the owner of Cowboy, was visibly distraught about his cow's injuries, saying, "I've had him since he was little." In fact, the now more than 500-pound cow, who is approximately a year old, has been in Lewicki's care since it was only weeks onld.

With help from his brother Carl, Lewicki was able to get Cowboy back into the trailer and brought Cowboy back to where he his kept at Pine Valley Stables on Lindsey Street.  The plan was to call a vet to tend to its injuries, one of which included a deep gash to its right hind leg.
