Students at Dayspring Christian Academy of Attleboro recently received numerous special achievement awards for musical performances during the 2014 Music Festival of the Eastern Massachusetts/Rhode Island District of the Association of Christian Schools International.
According to Meegan Delvantal, DCA’s music instructor, eight students were accorded special honors for solo performances during the competition, which attracted contestants from numerous ACSI-affiliated schools in the region. DCA’s Festival Choir was also extended recognition for its efforts.
DCA students securing individual honors included Anneka Ignatius (Superior in Grade 8 piano solo); Anitha Koka (Superior in Grade 6 piano solo); Abigail Rajadurai (Excellent in piano solo); Hannah Brouillard (Excellent in Grade 5 piano solo); Emma Leewenburgh (Very Good in Grade 3 vocal solo); Aaron Mathew (Very Good in Grade 3 vocal solo); Andrew Joseph (Very Good in Grade 1 vocal solo); and Faith Boirard (Good in Grade 5 vocal solo).

In addition, DCA’s Festival Choir achieved “Excellent” status in its performance. Its members included soloists Lianna Derr, Shriya Shukla and Gabrielle Freeman along with Brooke Fontaine, Brianna Stanford, Catherine Messier, Julia Delvecchio, Anitha Koka, Claudia Agustin, Quincy Cedeno-Gomes, Robbie Delvental, Tucker Delvental, Anjolique Manigault, Abigail Rajadurai, Faith Boirard, Ezri Williams, Dalia Almegedi, Michael Basiliere, Maddy Abjornsen, Hannah Asermely, Lissette Westerlind and Orli Juarez.
