Dr. James Mandell Honored at Franciscan Hospital for Children's Community Leadership Award Dinner

Event raises more than $530,000 to help provide care and treatment to kids

On November 21, Franciscan Hospital for Children recognized Dr. James Mandell, former CEO of Boston Children’s Hospital, at the Community Leadership Award Dinner and Gala held at the InterContinental Hotel in Boston. Sixteen-year-old Justin Ith, a resident of Revere and a patient at Franciscan Hospital for Children, was also honored with the Profile in Children’s Courage Award at the dinner.

The event attracted more than 350 guests, and raised more than $530,000. The evening was emceed by Janet Wu of 7News, and included dinner, an awards ceremony, and live & silent auctions. All proceeds benefit Franciscan Hospital for Children.
