Eco-Friendly Craft Day for Kids
Children can make crafts out of recyclable materials including a gardening pot made from assorted bottles.

Children ages 4 to 10 can learn about recycling at Creative Crafts Nature Day this Saturday.
Children will be able to make crafts out of recyclable materials such as cardboard, bottle caps and milk cartons. The kids can create a gardening pot made from assorted bottles as well as garden dragonflies made from spoons.
The free event will take place at Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary, 1417 Park St., from 1 p.m. to 4 pm.

The event was organized by Amanda Lindley, a Girl Scout Cadette with Attleboro Troop 873, to achieve her Silver Award, the second highest honor in Girl Scouting.
At the event, families and children can also visit a play area that includes chairs and benches Lindley created from old logs.

Lindley is a big advocate for taking care of the environment and hopes to spread the importance of recycling to young kids.
“I think it’s important to teach kids how important recycling is and how they can do it for fun,” she said.
The Creative Crafts Nature Day is aimed for children aged 4 to 10, but all kids of all ages can attend.
