Four Attleboro Students Compete for National Merit Scholarships
A total of 18 Bishop Feehan High School students will go the next round in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

has put itself on the map thanks to 18 students who have achieved Semifinalist or Commended status in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSC)–the largest percentage of honorees from any Massachusetts high school, according to the school.
A congratulations goes out to Attleboro semifinalists Chad Benoit and David Stewart, who will join 16,000 semifinalists in the 57th annual NMSC. The Bishop Feehan seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 8,300 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $34 million. Winners are notified beginning in April and ending in July.
Attleboro's Victoria Cleveland and Julia Neto were recognized by the NMSC as National Commended students and received a letter of commendation from Bishop Feehan and National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Neto and Cleveland placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2012 competition.

"We are extremely proud of this exceptional class of five Semi-finalists,” Principal Bill Runey said about all 18 Feehan students. “They are our largest class of honorees ever. This accomplishment is a testament to the strong academic environment at Feehan."
