GBCA Students to Compete in Statewide Speech Competition

Grace Baptist Christian Academy students to compete in state competition.

 

Eight students at Grace Baptist Christian Academy of Attleboro will participate in the 2012 Bible, Speech and Spelling Competition sponsored by the Massachusetts Association of Christian Schools which will be held Jan. 20 at Twin City Christian School of Lunenburg.

According to Pastor Jeffrey Nichols, GBCA’s principal, the eight students who qualified for the annual statewide competition include Mary Jane Childs, Chelsea Oliveira, Darlene Murray, Giana Bigelow, Rachel Nichols, Ashley Moraes, Ariana Pare and Abby Silva.

The GBCA contestants will match their burgeoning communications skills Jan. 20 against students of other MACS-affiliated schools throughout the state. Competitions will be held in numerous categories and individual and team awards will be presented.

According to Pastor Nichols, a larger contingent of GBCA students will compete Feb. 3 in the 2012 MACS Music, Art & Academic Testing Competition to be staged at Open Bible Academy of Burlington.
