Kid-Friendly Fun: Fantasyland and Seekonk Grand Prix

Seekonk's Route 6 is a destination spot for families searching for entertainment.

Not sure how to entertain a youngster? Visit these kid-friendly destinations located along one of Seekonk's most active business corridors.

Fantasyland on Route 6 is one of the most popular destinations for kids' parties. The bright signs outside the venue are nothing compared to the building's interior that houses eight rides, a food court and games such as Skee Ball. Outside, there's a mini golf course that plays upbeat music through hidden speakers.

According to manager and East Providence resident Victor Silva, about 80 percent of the clientel is from Rhode Island. Birthday parties generate the profits.

"Without the parties, let's close up the doors," he said.

The Grand Prix is another haven for game-players in Seekonk. Racing games and video simulations fill the colorful room. On a typical weekday, you can see young people crowding around a machine.
