Morin's Rolls Out the Red Carpet to Celebrate 100 Years
The red carpet was rolled out to celebrate a century of memories at Morin's.
company has grown from its meager beginnings when it sold lunch box pails to the workers near the restaurant. The Morin family accepted more than 400 RSVPs to come and join them in their transformed kitchen and parking lot.
The business and some of its customers celebrated their more 100 years in business.
Russell Morin Jr. was recognized with citations from both Massachusetts and Rhode Island officials including Gov. Lincoln D. Chafee of RI, U.S. Sen. Jack Reed, U.S. Rep. David Cicilline, U.S. Senator Scott Brown, Rep. Elizabeth Poirier and President of the RI Senate Teresa Paiva-Weed. Attending the event and making their presentations in person were, Attleboro Mayor Kevin Dumas, Rep. George Ross and Sen. Jim Timilty.

Russell Morin thanked everyone for coming and for his wife and family for putting up with a "workaholic" husband. He attributed his success not to his hard work over the years, but to the people who make up his company. His claim to fame is that he is just the figurehead, he quipped.
