Plaza to Come Alive with Lemonade and International Food
Dels and Papagallo to bring new life to old plaza.
Attleboro will be home to two new restaurants and a third local business is expanding to a new location in the city.
Papagallo, described as a bakery, restaurant and bar, will be "coming soon" on Pleasant Street in Attleboro, next door to the Iglesia Arca de Salvacion. The windows of the location are still covered, but the bakery sign is up and work will soon be underway.
Papagallo changed their location of some of the mechanical units the city awaiting new drawings from the architect. A ceiling inspection for the ductwork and then the final inspections for all trades including: plumbing, gas, mechanical, electrical and building will be need to be completed.

Owner Paul Piatelli is moving the business from 266 Pleasant St. to a different spot on the same street just a few blocks away. Del's will soon occupy the spot next door to Papagallo, which was once home to Creative Images Salon.
The inside walls were painted, counter tops put in and new tiled floors were set in place. "Del's is doing finish work, all rough inspections have been completed and only final inspections are left," Doug Semple, the city's building super, said. "He will open probably before the end of June or sooner."

Across the city in South Attleboro, Sakura, a Japanese restaurant has completed work both inside and outside the restaurant and will soon be offering sushi to customers. "We issued the occupancy permit for SAKURA on Friday and they were planning on opening this week," Semple said. "They are waiting for their liquor license, which was just approved yesterday and will be released locally today."
