Ramada Inn Liquor License Suspended After Board of Selectmen Hold Disciplinary Hearing
David Darling, owner of the Ramada Inn, went before the board after Administrative Assistant Anne Rogers reported liquor license was not in compliance.

The Ramada Inn's liquor license was suspended by Board of Selectmen members during a Wednesday night disciplinary hearing, leaving owner David Darling in a pinch to fund his bread and butter.
Selectmen voted the license would be reinstated after the owner was found in complicance with the Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission (ABCC). Di Parma, a restaurant operating in the same complex with the same address, will also not be able to serve liquor as they fall under the same liquor license.
According to Office Manager Anne Rogers, the business operating under the name Seekonk Hospitality Inc. has not been in compliance since last March. Also, she said the license also only covered areas of the and not Di Parma.

"In my opinion they are not in compliance," she said.
Darling's legal counsel said the license blunder was unintentional and they requested a liquor license transfer to include Di Parma and the Ramada Inn. Board members did not accept the excuse.

"Negligence of the law is not an excuse," said member John Whelan.
Darling was not happy with the vote; he decided to stay until the meeting was over with the owner of Di Parma.
