Students at Dayspring Christian Academy in Attleboro Have the Winning Ticket

Students at Dayspring Academy will perform a second presentation of "Willy Wonka."

students performed "Willy Wonka & the Chocoloate Factory" based on the Roald Dahl book in front of a 200-person audience on Thursday night.

Students in grades 3 through 8 of the Attleboro school performed in the 18-scene production, led by faculty member Teresa King, in order to raise funds for the school's expanding fine arts program, the school said in a press release. 

The students will offer a second performance on Friday night of the production featuring the exploits of young Charlie Bucket, who is forced to choose between greed and his own integrity during a guided tour of Wonka’s world-famous chocolate factory.

Student Danielle Brousseau portrayed Wonka in Thursday’s production, with Jordan Stanford (as Charlie Bucket), Michael Russell (as Grandpa Joe), Savannah Pinales (as Mrs. Bucket), Nick Mastalerz (as Mr. Salt), Caitlyn Stanford (as Veruca Salt), Caleb Vargas (as Agustus Gloop), Brook Fontaine (as Violet Beauregarde) and Kristen Petagna (as Slugsworth) filling the other major cast roles, according to the school.

Wondering about the Oompa Loomas? Those scenes were danced by Sarah Brouillard, Alexandria Brown, Esther Caballeros, Hannah Fayard, Samantha Fayard, Ava Gomes, Jamie Lonczak, Jaclyn Martin, Gracie Mastalerz, Juliana Phillips, Britni Thibodeau, Elizabeth Tong and Ilia Vargas.

Other members of the cast included Victoria Iannelli, Daniel Correia, Lianna Derr, Itoro Okokon, Daryl Costa, Faith Giammarco, Mitchell Sirois, Joshua Defaria, Marissa Machado, Joseph Charpentier, Tara Iannelli, Keana Vieira, Tatum Bisch, Daryl Costa, Christine DaPaah-Afriyie, Sharon Rajadurai and Brianna Stanford.

The school will host its second performance of "Willy Wonka" tonight beginning at 7 p.m. at the at 1052 Newport Ave. Admission will be $6 per person and tickets will be sold at the door.
