Supreme Donuts Answers Call for Coffee
Lisa Chaves was able to keep caffeine addicts at bay this morning after a customer surge lasted through the morning.

The serving skills of Lisa Chaves were put to the test this morning. Starting at about 6 a.m., a swell of locals looking for coffee, doughnuts and sandwiches came to Supreme Coffee. One of the few businesses with power on Monday morning, their caffeine drinks were a hot commodity.
Vehicles were backed up in the drive-thru line while customers were waiting in line. According to the mother of three, customers weren't looking for just one cup of coffee; many were grabbing food for their neighbors helping clean up brush as many locals are still without power throughout Monday.
"Usually I like to keep my area clean, but it was a tornado...You just have to keep going," she said.

According her husband and co-owner Paul Chaves, the business experiences a boost in sales.
"They were like piranhas...People want their coffee," he said.

But there were payoffs.
"My tips doubled," Lisa said. "It made it worth it."
