Town to Hold Rally for Olympic Medalist

There will be a big welcoming party Wednesday when Elizabeth Beisel, who won two Olympic swimming medals in London, returns to her native North Kingstown. WJAR-TV (channel 10) is organizing a homecoming rally for the Attleboro Bluefish Swim Club alumna, which will take place at at 7 p.m.

The rally will take place on the high school's athletic field, North Kingstown School Superintendent Phil Auger said. Those planning to attend the event are encouraged to wear and bring signs.

Beisel, 19, won a silver medal in the 400-meter individual medley and a bronze medal in the 200-meter backstroke.

North Kingstown High School is located at 150 Fairway Drive in North Kingstown.
