Scores of locals turned up for the event, despite the cloudy weather. Vini Ames and Sh-Bop have performed in Seekonk before and were remembered to have put on an entertaining show in the past, according to Michelle Gario, senior librarian at the Seekonk Public Library.

The band engaged the audience, asking children to come to the stage for one song and having volunteers hold up cue cards for another. The choice in oldies tunes also seemed to appeal to the crowd universally.
