Whiz Kid: Attleboro Girl Gets to Groove with Dancing Pros

The gifted young acrobat and dancer will get to perform this summer with professional dancers, including some from the popular FOX show "So You Think You Can Dance."

A veteran dancer of six years, Morgan has studied and trained under the tutelage of Loral Sims-Young, owner and director of Loral Sims School of Dance Studio 1 & 2. In addition to Morgan’s weekly dance classes, she is a competition team member. Morgan participates in Acro, Jazz and Lyrical companies. 

Not a day goes by that Morgan isn’t dancing at every opportunity afforded to her. Acro is her treasured genre, and she delights in choreographing mini-shows for her friends and family to watch. Nicknamed Gumby at the studio, mouths drop open when she lights up the stage with her astounding tumbling passes and her extraordinary flexibility.

“Morgan is an extremely fierce and talented dancer and competitor," said Sims-Young. "She always comes into the studio ready to work and never disappoints! She is a machine."

The director said she fondly calls her "The Morginator."

This summer, Morgan's competition teams are traveling to Cape Cod for the national competition of the Turn It Up Dance Challenge. Morgan and other team members were awarded a coveted invitation to join the Turn It Up Dance Challenge dance team. Morgan is excited and nervous for this remarkable chance to perform and work with top professionals, including dancers from the FOX hit show "So You Think You Can Dance."
