Beach Weather is a three-piece American band comprising Nick Santino (a Rocket to the Moon), Austin Scates, and Reeve Powers that formed in 2015. Self-described as “fuzzy pop,” the band’s debut EP, What a Drag, produced by Sean Silverman, dropped in August of 2015 with five brand-new tracks. Drawing comparisons to the likes of the 1975 and Talking Heads, What a Drag serves as a strong sonic representation of the band. Hot on the heels of this release, the band started to build notoriety for their energetic live performances during their first-ever tour together, a U.S. tour as support for the Maine. The band also performed across the United Kingdom and Europe on a sold-out tour as support for Sleeping with Sirens. Fans discovered the group, and the media took notice: Beach Weather has been covered by various media outlets including Rock Sound, Alternative Press, and idobi radio. Most recently, they released their first-ever music video for “New Skin,” which has garnered well over 150,000 views. Beach Weather will head out on tour with Rise Records’ Pvris this spring.
Starting in early 2014, the Millenium tore into the music world, opening for acts such as Now, Now and the Summer Set on the local University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire campus. Following the quick success at home of their debut EP, It’s So Much Friendlier with Two, the band saw ferocious growth on the road after five supporting tours and two headlining runs. With a knack for capturing the life lessons of love, loss, and learning in their music, the Millenium has grown to represent these themes, which not only resonate with each member individually but also define the millennial generation as a whole. The band is currently hard at work writing and recording their highly anticipated sophomore album.
Work is a four-piece indie rock band formed in Boston and comprising Ryan Layne on vocals and lead guitar, John Miller on guitar and synthesizer, Katie Gallagher on bass, and Jon Perry on drums. Work began developing their unique sound in 2014, taking influence from the Strokes and the Talking Heads, among others.
