Belvedere Street Closed for Fire at the Pru

Belvedere Street has been closed to traffic as firefighters respond to a fire in the generator room of the Prudential Center.

A call of smoke in the garage generator room came in at 10:05 a.m. and firefighters accessed the area through the loading dock on Belvedere Street. The Fire Department and NStar are killing power to transformers in the Prudential and all firefighters have been ordered to stay clear of the electrical vaults.
