Update: Brookline Taxi Slides into Muddy River

Police say no injuries and called in the hazardous materials team.

Massachusetts State Police units are on-scene at Storrow Drive westbound at the Charlesgate Overpass, where a taxi has slid off the roadway into a shallow pond along the Muddy River.

The Ford Crown Victoria, owned by the Hazira Cab Company of Brookline, slid off the roadway and into a shallow pond along the Muddy River. The cab is in the water up to about wheel level, police said.

The driver is out of the car, and no injuries have been reported. A hazmat team was calling in for fluids.
