Author Talk With Larry Tye On 'Superman: The High-Flying History Of America's Most Enduring Hero'
Seventy-five years after he came to life, Superman remains one of America’s most adored and enduring heroes. Now Larry Tye, a prize-winning journalist, has written the first full-fledged history not just of the Man of Steel but also of the creators, designers, owners, and performers who made him the icon he is today.
Larry Tye runs the Boston-based Health Coverage Fellowship. From 1986 to 2001, Tye was a reporter at theBoston Globe, where his primary beat was medicine. He also served as the Globe’s environmental reporter, roving national writer, investigative reporter, and sports writer. He is the author of Satchel: The Life and Times of an American Legend, which was on the New York Times bestseller list and named a Times Notable Book.
