Ms. Stavros first appeared as a soloist at the age of 15 playing the Handel Harp Concerto with the Lakewood Civic Orchestra in Ohio. She has performed under renowned conductors including Hugh Wolff, JoAnn Falletta, Joseph Silverstein, and has performed in notable European venues including the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, the Théâtre Montansier de Versailles, and the Grand Amphitheatre de la Sorbonne in Paris.
As a new music enthusiast, Ms. Stavros has worked with composers many times to create new music for the harp. Her contemporary harp duo, with Swedish harpist Stina Hellberg, commissioned several new pieces that were performed in Sweden and France. The objective of their duo is to promote new and improvised music for the harp and to test the limits of this oftentimes conservative instrument.
