The Checkout - Live at Berklee, featuring Ingrid Jensen

Famed New York area jazz station WBGO Jazz 88.3 FM/wbgo.org, NPR, and Berklee are teaming up to present the first ever NPR concert series showcasing Berklee alumni. As the fifth and final installment of the series, Berklee alumnus, trumpeter Ingrid Jensen '89, will return to her old stomping grounds for a homecoming show at The Red Room @ Cafe 939 on April 12, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. Jensen is a regular performer in the Grammy Award-winning Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra and the Grammy Award-nominated Darcy James Argue Secret Society big band. She recently performed on the 2012 Grammy Award-winning album, The Mosaic Project, led by Terri Lyne Carrington. Jensen hails from Canada's west coast and has settled in New York with her family. She brings to Cafe 939 and WBGO her longstanding trio from her highly regarded ArtiShare release, At Sea

 

Tickets are $10 for general public, $5 with Berklee ID. Tickets are available at cafe939.com.
