Coming to the French Cultural Center from Paris, French author Patrick Deville will speak about his bestselling novel Plague and Cholera. A multiple award winner in France, this fictionalized biography of French microbiologist Alexandre Yersin takes the reader through world wars, epidemics, colonialism, and the fascinating life of a man who discovered bubonic plague. The novel is a captivating scientific and human adventure that Deville narrates by mixing periods and characters linked to Yersin’s life.
