Former Employee Slashes Tire of Work Van and Winds Up in Jail

Police arrested Chris DeVincent, of Haverill and charged him with willful and malicious Destruction of Property.

A 43-year-old man found himself behind bars on Wednesday after police charged him with vandalizing a work van on Boylston and Gloucester streets. 

Police arrested Chris DeVincent, of Haverill at 7:37 a.m. and charged him with willful and malicious Destruction of Property. The victim said he saw DeVincent, a former employee, approach his van and slash his tire. He also hear a loud noise, presumably the tire being popped or slashed, when the suspect got close to his car, and officers saw a large gash in the rear driver’s side tire, and scratch marks on the van.

After searching the area, officers found the suspect on 475 Boylston Street.
