Medford Woman Charged with Shoplifting, Heroin Possession

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions.

A Medford woman was charged with larceny and heroin possession after she reportedly tried to leave Nordstrom’s without paying for the 18 items she had in her purse.

Boston Police Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Nordstrom’s at 497 Boylston Street at about 2:05 p.m. on May 5.

A witness told police that they saw the suspect place multiple items into her purse and head towards the door without stopping at any points of purchase.

At this point, the Loss Prevention employee stopped the suspect and called the police. The suspect reportedly had over $300 in stolen goods on her. When the police asked if she had anything else on her, she told officers that she had some heroin in a paper packet in her right sock.

Officers arrested Patricia Maniscalo of 1078 Fellsway, Medford, MA, and charged her with larceny over $250 and possession of a Class A substance.
