Naturopathic Doctor in Back Bay

Keri Layton, ND now seeing Integrative Medicine patients at 29 Commonwealth Ave as a member of the Back Bay Alliance.

Keri Layton, ND, a graduate of Bastyr University, brings 10 years of clinical experience to the Back Bay. Dr. Layton helps people of all ages navigate chronic disease in partnership with their conventional pratitioners.

Graduates of the accredited schools of Naturopathic Medicine are trained to approach primary health concerns using the diet and daily habits to optimize outcomes. Dr. Layton uses evidence-based treatments and her clinical experience to improve the daily lives of people living with allergies, anxiety, depression, fatigue, women's health concerns, including fertility, and digestive complaints. She regularly attends events hosted by the Osher Center and other Integrative Medicine events, including the recent Gut Health, Microbiota and Probiotics through the Life Span conference presented by the School of Nutrition at Harvard Medical School.

A special interest of Dr. Layton is helping older folks who are showing early signs of dementia, or those with a family history of Alzheimer's or dementia improve memory and quality of life following the work of Dale Bredesen. The Bredesen Protocol, which was published shortly before Dr. Layton lost her grandmother to Alzheimer's offers an evidence-based guideline for improving brain health. Naturopathic Medicine in practice aligns closely with this protocol, and this training allows Dr. Layton to help patients prioritize its many facets.
