• Green Line delays after MBTA track maintenance vehicle derails (nbcboston.com) — Green Line riders in Back Bay face delays after a track maintenance vehicle derailed near Park Street, forcing shuttle buses to replace service between Copley and Back Bay. Several downtown stations are affected, and the MBTA hasn't said when regular service will resume, though the equipment has been re-railed and moved off the main line. 
• Boston's Puppet Free Library lends handmade puppets (wcvb.com) — Back Bay residents can borrow any of roughly 300 life-sized puppets from the Puppet Free Library in the basement of Emmanuel Church, and even learn how to make their own. Founder Sara Peattie lends puppets to anyone and runs workshops to help neighbors create giant outdoor performances using recycled materials.
• Ed Sheeran's Gillette Stadium concert, train schedule adjusted (wcvb.com) — Back Bay concertgoers heading to Ed Sheeran's Gillette Stadium shows get extra MBTA train options, with special Friday and Saturday evening departures stopping at Back Bay before continuing to Foxboro. Start times have shifted to 8 p.m. after opening acts left the tour, and all return trains will depart 30 minutes after each concert ends.
