The 30th annual citywide competition celebrated residents transforming small urban spaces into lush, pollinator-friendly and food-growing oases across Boston's neighborhoods.

(bostonglobe.com) — Expect another five-day Orange Line shutdown between Back Bay and Forest Hills in mid-September, further complicating commutes for Back Bay workers and residents. MBTA officials say these extended closures across the system are necessary to speed long-delayed repairs, but riders are feeling the strain of longer trips, crowded shuttles, and recurring service gaps on multiple subway lines.
