Officer Injured at Newbury Construction Site
The road is blocked off, with ambulances and cruisers at the scene.

Update 1:06 p.m:
A Boston Police officer working a detail at 214 Newbury Street was injured "when a construction vehicle shifted and struck him," said police spokeswoman Elaine Driscoll.
Unconfirmed reports say it was possibly a backhoe that hit him.

The incident occured at 12:29 p.m. He was transported to Brigham and Women's hospital. Driscoll did not know the extend of the injuries.
